Why SwiftSite Exists
Most small business websites are built once, invoiced once, and left to age. The world keeps moving — how customers search, what they expect, what the law requires — and the website just sits there. The owner ends up doing IT work they never signed up for.
I watched this happen to business owners I know. They were being left behind, not because they were bad at what they do, but because nobody was tending the thing that brings customers in the door.
Meanwhile, the agencies claiming to help were either charging enterprise prices for basic work, or slapping together template sites that looked the same as everyone else’s. Neither approach actually solved the problem.
So I solved it for myself first. My own platform, WeRescue, helps people find adoptable pets. Early on, it was getting just 5–10 organic visits a day from Google. I had a deep desire to get those pets in front of more people, but I didn’t want to lay out a lot of money on ads. So I built a system that studied the site each month: what was going right, and more importantly, what to change to make it better. Every month I re-ran the analysis and made the changes.
Over a few months, that handful of daily Google visits grew to nearly 500 every day. Same site, same mission. The only thing that changed was the steady rhythm of tending and improving it.
